Early in his career he spent several years in the marketing and sales departments of Ontario Systems, a Muncie, Ind. company that develops software for the debt-collection industry.
Bullard attended Ball State University where he studied journalism and public relations. He is active in the Muncie community, where he serves on several boards of directors. Additionally, he has volunteered with the Indiana Special Olympics, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Delaware County, and been a youth basketball coach at Cowan Elementary School.
