Sam Pierce Chevrolet had been a small dealership based in Middletown, Indiana for over two decades. In 2004, the dealership moved to a new state-of-the -art facility on State Road 67. While the new location was on a major highway and just minutes from the Interstate, it was not conveniently located for some of the residents in nearby Muncie and Anderson, tow key target markets.
The dealer principles have been dedicating more of their marketing efforts and budget to the internet. One of their ideas was to create a service to drop off and deliver vehicles for service or test-drives at local schools. The strategy was to use the convenience of this new service to offset the driving distance to the dealership.
Solution
Fusework Studios was already a partner for both managed IT and internet marketing for Sam Pierce, so when the school idea was presented we came up with a dynamic use of micro sites to create excitement and “drive” results. The end products are called Teacher Test Drive sites. They are designed to reward teachers with the benefits of the pick-up and drop-off service at no additional charge. The sites are simple, easy to use, and allow teachers to schedule the service in juts a few clicks. A micro site template was created and is adapted every time a new schools joins the program. Each school also has their own individual domain. To date, five sites have been launched and the early results are great. In just the first week, the initial site for Delta School system logged 22 appointments scheduled and the dealership has hired an additional 14 employees to handle the volume the program is generating.
