Situation
Located at the corner of Maryland and Meridian in downtown Indianapolis, the Ball State Indianapolis Center is a high-tech, interactive education, research, information, and outreach center. Opened in early 2007, the Center is a collaboration of several different partners within Ball State including the Center for Media Design, Center for Organizational Resources, The College of Architecture and Planning, and the School of Extended Learning. The University wanted to communicate through video, how students, educators and business partners could partner and benefit through the Indy Center.

Solution
Fusework Studios was selected to execute the video segments for the Grand Opening of the Indianapolis Center, in large part due to our reputation as compelling story tellers who produced very high quality finished products. Ball State also wanted to work with a company that understood the new media world in which the products would be shown which included podcasts and interactive touch-screen technology at the Center.
Fusework Studios decided to tell the story of the new business partnership through a series of videos each featuring Ball State students and Indianapolis businesses. In consideration of the podcast and touch screen usage, Fusework shot 12 short vignette videos. Each incorporated a testimonial perspective through the eyes of the students and companies who had collaborated in successful employment and immersive learning experiences. While each story was unique, when viewed in succession they all told an integrated story that communicated the high tech and interactive nature of the Ball State Indianapolis Center. They were unveiled at the grand opening and are now on display at the Ball State University Indianapolis Center downtown.
